"After seven years with State Farm, they’ve decided to discontinue my emergency roadside assistance because, unfortunately, both of my cars broke down back-to-back this year. One had a transmission failure, so I couldn’t drive it at all. Even though I barely used this service in the past seven years, this time I had to rely on it a bit more. When I called to ask why it was being canceled, I was told it was because I used it too much. The funny part is, I’m only going to see a discount of less than two dollars on my monthly bill. So, State Farm’s solution to me using their service too often is to take it away entirely! They are known for the slogan “ Like a good Neighbor State Farm is there” … well until you actually need to use the services that is!"

"State Farm & Alacrity – Absolutely Awful Experience This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever dealt with. After my 2012 Honda Fit was in an accident, State Farm sent Alacrity to do the initial assessment. Despite clear, visible damage—including a bent frame and snapped timing belt—they claimed the car was repairable. Anyone with basic mechanical knowledge would have seen the repairs were easily over $12,000, yet they insisted it could be fixed. To make things worse, Alacrity failed to submit the necessary paperwork, which delayed the entire process. As a result, I ran out of rental coverage and had to pay out of pocket for Ubers just to get to work. Trying to get answers from State Farm was a dead end. Every time I asked for a manager, I was told someone would call me back—no one ever did. There’s no direct line for support, so you're stuck waiting endlessly without clear answers. This process caused serious mental and financial stress. And for a company that claims to be “like a good neighbor,” you couldn’t be farther from it. You’ve earned the name ‘Snake Farm.’ Avoid if you value your sanity.After 12 years of being with State Farm, leaving was the best decision I ever made."
